This was from a photoshoot with my good friend Melissa and her Erdem dress. (She is old friends with him). We have all coveted this dress at one point.. tried it on. Like Cinderellas shoe, rarely fits anyone. I’ve looked at his dresses and editorials often for painting inspiration. There’s a mix of Victorian modesty and lush, unabashed femininity that is very seductive to me as a painter. John Singer Sargent is very obviously one of my all-time favorites.
